I would love to know the origin of a Juju hat for that price. I have mixed feelings about Westerners on Etsy copying traditional cultural designs and culturally appropriating them. The bamileke hats are incredible feather headdresses are traditionally worn by the Bamileke chiefs, senior dignitaries, prominent officials and important dancers during royal court affairs. The headdress is believed to carry with it the qualities of birds and it also symbolizes prosperity.
When made by someone outside and with no benefit to local peoples I find it disrespectful.
