This cozy Nantucket media room, designed by Kara Mann, is just where I’d want to be on a lazy Saturday morning. Equal parts light and dark, contemporary and classic, this space has it all. The offset striped rug is a playful pairing with the more traditional striped shiplap walls and ceiling, while the wood and woven accents warm things right up. I can’t decide which piece is my favorite—the trunk turned media console or the wood slice nesting tables…what’s yours?

I love this room, it feels both cozy and comfortable at the same time without being cluttered with excess stuff. I love your solution for such a unique tv stand!
Your KIVIK sofa has different arms than the one you linked to – do you have a newer/older model? I’ve been considering one of these sofas myself, but when I saw online how chunky the arms were I wasn’t sure it was going to work out. But your sofa doesn’t look like it has such chunky arms and it feels much more natural and chic!
Hi Miranda,
You’re so right—the arms are a bit wider on this one, but hopefully the great price makes up for that! I also like a wide arm for being able to rest a beverage or book. Here’s an option with thinner arms though that’s still quite affordable. Hope this helps! Thanks,
Audrey
