Five for Fifty | NYE Dinner at Home

· Reichel

Let’s talk about New Year’s Eve shall we? I can’t remember the last time the Mr and I celebrated it…OUT. Hmm, well, maybe I can and it was definitely pre-kids. Those of you with kids will understand how difficult it is to actually plan and achieve a night out without kids especially on a holiday like NYE. Who’s with me?

So for the last few NYE’s, here at the Copy Cat Chic household, we’ve had a cozy dinner in 😉 And really? I wouldn’t want to celebrate any other way. I bust out the fancy dishes and put out the glitzy decor. Gold is the usual theme. And we prepare a luxurious meal with several courses – something that we wouldn’t do normally. We’ve done all sorts of fun things in the past, my personal favorite was fresh lobster.

I’m starting to plan out the decor and menu for this year’s dinner. It’s going to be here before you know it! I thought it would be fun to partner up with World Market and share a few of my favorite #FiveforFifty for NYE finds with you guys today.

Do you have a New Year’s Eve tradition? What do you usually do to celebrate?

  1. Super cool ideas! When I was a kid we used to have a lot of fireworks and stuff that would make a lot of noise. These past New Year celebrations have been more peaceful. Decorations would always make up for it! Thanks for the ideas!

  2. I'm right there with you…the last time we went out for NYE was definitely pre-kids! lol But, we've always had family and friends over either in a small group or a large get-together setting. I'm thinking this year will be a big bash!:)
