Friendsgiving with Crate & Barrel

Tonight’s the night! Our annual Friendsgiving dinner 🙂 We decided to celebrate it at our cabin in Tahoe this year with all of our closest friends! Even though the logistics were a little more work, I think the cabin and snow will make up for it.

I wanted to share with you my vision for our dinner this year (You also can find more inspiration on my Friendsgiving Pinterest board). I wanted the perfect blend of rustic sophistication. I adore a mix of wood and natural texture with high contrast black and white – obviously 😉 It will be fun to decorate against the woodsy backdrop in our cabin!

I partnered with Crate & Barrel and found some great items to help bring my inspiration to life. Crate & Barrel has a great Thanksgiving selection right now. I’m so happy to see that, as so many stores these days give Thanksgiving the cold shoulder in favor of Christmas. What is that?! Another thing I love is that they offer versatile pieces that can be used all year round. I’m all for that concept. I bought special Thanksgiving dishes, oh about 5 years ago now, because I thought we’d use them every year for Friendsgiving. We’ve used them….once. Yep. I always find myself going back to the basics and then changing it up by adding fun and whimsical decor. Keeps things spicy that way 😉

These were just a few of my favorites from Crate and Barrel! And as you can see they don’t scream fall or thanksgiving, but just give a subtle, welcome hint. AND you could easily use these pieces for any occasion. Total score. So…the decor is planned and the table is set, now let’s bring on the food!

  4. I've been seeing all these posts about Friendsgiving, and now I want to have a Friendsgiving! I can guarantee our decorations won't be from Crate & Barrel, but that setting looks amazing!

  7. I am not familiar with C&B but looks like they have a variety of wonderful items, in the UK thanksgiving is not as big as in the states so not all the shops have thanksgiving decorations now only christmas ones are up this time of year.

  8. Your tablescape looks beautiful! I like thos slabs of wood and the table cloth agains the back drop of that picture window! Absolutely beautiful! If we didn't host Thanksgiving every year, we'd totally do a "Friendsgiving".

  9. I'm all about the tablescape at Thanksgiving and Christmas and I love them all. I've never done a friendsgiving thing, but I do have all the family over for Thanksgiving and we're all great friends, too.

  18. When I got my first real job and before I had my own apartment, I'd shop at crate and barrel and store things a way for the big day. I absolutely love how the store has chic and trendy finds that are very reasonably priced. Those tablescapes are gorgeous, I hope you all enjoyed the holiday!
