Once again, thanks to everyone who voted for this super cool living room by Amber Interiors. I’m always excited to re-create one of her masterpieces, and this is no exception. Her great talent lies in making rooms feel streamlined and open without creating a feeling of austerity or coldness–the room has just enough ‘fluff’ to make it inviting without making you feel like you might knock over everything on an end table if you actually tried to set your drink down. 

There are two DIY opportunities here, one of which is staining the raw edge coffee table to your desired degree of doneness (like you would, say, caramelize onions). The second is in creating the credenza from IKEA cabinets, as has been done on home blogs since time immemorial (aka the mid-2000s).

On a personal note, today’s room redo will be my last as a regular Copy Cat Chic contributor. I have so enjoyed my time here over the past few years, and I hope my posts have been as beautiful and useful for you as they have been fun for me. I’m not sure what my next blog-land move will be (maybe I’ll even restart my food/design/whatever blog!), but you can always come say hi! on Instagram (@holalindsey) to get regular updates on my cats and whatever I’m currently cooking and eating.
