Copy Cat Chic Room Redo | Layered Navy Dining Room
· Audrey
The latest Facebook poll was a close one, but I’m so pleased that the winning room turned out to be this layered beauty. Designed by Brian Patrick Flynn for the 2014 HGTV Spring House, this inky dining area seems like an equally cozy spot for a quiet breakfast or an intimate dinner. There are so many great design tips to be gleaned from this one space: hang your curtains high and wide, paint the ceiling 60% lighter when the walls are dark, mix and match side chairs and head chairs for a more relaxed feel, layer a patterned rug over a natural fiber rug when the former is too small for the space – the list goes on! My favorite item though has got to be the brass chandelier, which gives this mostly traditional room a modern edge. Try it in your home for an instant update!
head chairs (set of 2) $200
skirted chairs (ea) $159
dining table $349
chandelier $218
woven rug $235 194
blue rug $98
candlesticks (ea) $17
curtains (ea) $30
curtain rod $50
TOTAL
$1,533

I'm sorry, but I will no longer be visiting your blog. Without a way to turn off the sound of your ads, I just get annoyed.
Thanks for the feedback Pearl. I just switched ad platforms and haven't figured out how to opt-out of these full page takeovers with the sound. Check back next week and it should be fixed by then : Ugh.
I am not a fan of video ads either, but I just paused it. There is also volume control on the video itself. NBD.
This room looks great !
