Copy Cat Chic Room Redo | Wintry Den

Traveling home for Thanksgiving means it’s time to feature one of my favorite Atlanta-based designers, Melanie Turner, and this cozy-as-can-be den she designed. I have long coveted a pair of chaises parked side by side, and I’m positive this image was the inspiration behind that dream. Can you imagine a better spot to catch up on magazines or watch your favorite guilty pleasure TV Shows? Add a toasty fire and I’d be practically glued here for the holiday season.

One of my favorite aspects of this space is the mix of textures–from fluffy sheepskin to natural sisal and rough brick to gleaming brass. Boxwood topiaries and pharmacy lamps add ultra-traditional style, while the abstract print and glossy tables swing the look back to transitional. Also have no fear: no sheep or turtles were harmed in the making of this room!

I wish you all safe travels this week and hope you can enjoy some rest and relaxation surrounded by loved ones in a space as cozy as this.
