Copy Cat Chic Room Redo | Masculine Master Bathroom
· Audrey
I’m no tomboy, but when it comes to interior design I find myself most often drawn to more masculine spaces. Bachelor pads (the ones that are photographed professionally, of course) are more likely to have the moody, neutral color palette and cozy textures that I love. Actor Michael C. Hall’s superbly decorated Los Feliz home is no exception with its well-worn rugs, leather accents, and amazing vintage scores. I could happily copy-cat every room in this house, but for today let’s start with the master bath!
I don’t usually try my hand at redoing bathrooms, but this navy and gray space was calling my name. Gorgeous wall lamps from the lighting masters at School House Electric steal the show with their period bulbs. Other traditional pieces like the “hot” and “cold” faucets, floral rug, and cupped drawer pulls mix nicely with the contemporary vanity and tile. If this space can teach us anything it’s that we shouldn’t be afraid to mix eras, finishes, and textures–it’s the beautiful balance that keeps things visually interesting and stylish for years to come.

I agree – I'm rarely drawn to the feminine rooms unless they are for children. Love this.
This is an awesome redo
