The most expensive item in this room is by far the pink Chesterfield sofa. Chesterfields, particularly leather ones like this, are normally very expensive. Pink is also a riskier option than say, brown or black, but given that it makes such a huge statement in an otherwise neutral room, I would feel comfortable taking the plunge in a space like this. I do think you have some leeway with the style of sofa if you’re not sold on the Chesterfield as long as you keep the color in the pink family. And as you can see in the Room Redo below, I found a really affordable, well-built velvet version for $800, which (in my opinion) is much less cost-prohibitive than the majority of items in that category. But for those of you who are totally terrified of pink sofas, a more conservative solution would be to get the sofa in a neutral color and bring the pink back in by loading it up with pillows and accessorizing with pink as seen above.
