Pottery Barn Benchwright Desk

· Reichel

Ok, I know one of my readers has asked for a good “copycat” version of the perfectly gorgeous and rustic Pottery Barn Benchwright Desk. Well here you go! It doesn’t have the metalwork of the Benchwright, but it comes with a bench! You can’t beat that 🙂

Pottery Barn’s Benchwright Desk = $799 (on sale)

Montgomery Ward’s Rustic Desk and Bench = $189.99

  1. Wow,great find! You're good! I've been looking for a narrow desk to fit in our family room that won't take up too much space as it will replace a current bookshelf. This is perfect!

  2. I've lurked too long on your site – I love what you do here!

I enjoy all of your finds, even if I never go out and buy anything. Stylish and resourceful always wins with me.

  3. I had no idea Montgomery Ward was still in business! My mom worked there way back in the late 1980s and they closed the local stores not long after that.

  4. Wards?! I also didn't know they were still in business, terrific find!

  5. Oh I'm glad you guys like this one!

Classy, you'll have to come back and post once you buy it. Let us know what the quality is like 🙂

LaurelSt – Thanks for the compliments! Hopefully I'll post something soon that you can buy 😉

Amanda & Isabella – I know! Who knew? I only discovered them, because they emailed me a press release and I figured I should scope it out. Lo and behold, some great cheap/chic finds!

  6. It was me, It was me! I love that Pottery Barn desk and want it for my living room, but it's so expensive. Thanks so much for this awesome find! I must admit I didn't know anything about Ward's. Do they have physical stores? (None here in CT.)

    Thanks again!

  11. Thank you so much for this post (love your site)! I saw the PB Benchwright desk yesterday at the PB Outlet in San Marcos, TX… and the price was about $400. But it appears that someone else bought it! 🙁 I'm still crossing my fingers I can get it. I even blogged about it today!
