I have been admiring today’s tiny space since I saw it in AT’s small cool home contest a few years back. I am a huuuuuge fan of small living spaces and the creativity they’re able to inspire in the people who call those spaces home. They appeal to me not only because I love to devise clever solutions to their quirky problems, but also because they help me remember what’s truly important by paring down my belongings to things I truly need, use, and love. And, as I’ve learned from furnishing our house over the past few years, a small space can be so much easier on the wallet 😉 Furthermore, I love when I see a small apartment that feels so much larger than it is–I mean, just count how many seating options there are in this one small corner!
ABC Home used to carry a ready-made pink Thonet chair for about $150, but since I can no longer find it online, you now have an excellent DIY opportunity! And while the ice cream art made me laugh out loud in my office, remember that you can always take a pic of your own and have it blown up at Kinkos on their blueprint machine for about $5.
